The students of ENEF (Ecole Nationale des Eaux et Forêts or The National School of Water and Forests) visited our NKOK factory in the Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ) on the 7th of August 2020. Here the students got to experience the activities of a company involved in the wood industry and how our operations help and effect the overall environment. Awareness about the work of companies such as us, allows the symbiotic relationship of business and environmental sustainability to prosper.
ENEF was founded in 1953 and was first started as a simple training site for forest personnel. Now, they train highly qualified executives in the fields of forestry, fishing and aquaculture, wildlife management, protected areas and the environment. ENEF is located in Cap-Esterias, about thirty kilometers from Libreville. ENEF is also a member of the AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie or………………..), the world association for French-speaking higher education and research establishments.
